We like to be inspired by others and we keep up with the trend setting that is part of the wedding industry.  Often what is old becomes new again and visa versa.  We keep apprised of what other planners report and read the magazines and visit the Bridal Shows.

We thought we would put together a simple list of some of trending items for 2019 and 2020 weddings.  Did we say 2020?  Yep, that is one of the trends.  Longer engagement periods, longer planning periods and wedding venues booked further in advance.  Absolutely at Sampson’s Hollow we see this with 2019 filling and dates set for 2020 already.

Sunday Weddings are on the rise!  This is awesome.  Instead of the wedding being the first activity that starts the get together the family and friends get together is happening on Friday and Saturday and they are ending the even with the wedding on Sunday.  Awesome idea!  By now, everyone knows each other and the time of vow exchanges will be even more special.

Rust is the new hot metallic!   Obviously we dig this!

Purple is the new PINK!

Brides are opting for natural and classic beauty looks and we see that with our gorgeous brides.  Our backdrop of the century farm and the wildflowers, the horizon of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the Appalachian vistas, all make the bride look even more naturally beautiful!

Herbs, wildflowers, and plants are often replacing cut flower arrangements.  We love nothing more than wildflowers and nature’s awesome beauty to compliment this exciting time.

The trends are pointing towards outdoors, with eco friendly choices, couples are going green.
